HOW MUCH DOES AN EPOXY GARAGE FLOOR COST IN KELOWNA? (2026 PRICING GUIDE)
Most full-flake epoxy systems with polyaspartic topcoat run $8–$12 per square foot installed in Kelowna. Here's what drives the price up or down.
THE SHORT ANSWER
A professionally installed epoxy garage floor in Kelowna typically costs $8–$12 per square foot. For a standard 2-car garage (~500 sq ft), that puts you in the $4,000–$6,000 range. For a single garage (~250 sq ft), expect $2,000–$3,000.
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THAT PRICE
A real quote from a real installer covers: diamond grinding the concrete, repairing cracks and spalls, base coat epoxy, decorative flake or metallic broadcast (if chosen), and a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat. If a quote is significantly cheaper than that range, find out which of those steps they're skipping.
WHAT DRIVES THE PRICE UP
Bigger size doesn't scale linearly — small jobs cost more per sq ft because of fixed mobilization costs. Heavy concrete repair, oil staining that needs degreasing, expansion joints that need filling, and complex layouts (multiple bays, slopes) all add cost. Metallic systems cost more than flake systems because the artistry takes longer.
WHAT DRIVES THE PRICE DOWN
Larger floors (3-car garages, shop floors) come down to $7–$9/sq ft. Solid colour systems with no flake or metallic are at the bottom of the range. Booking in the off-season (October–April) sometimes opens up scheduling flexibility.
WHAT TO AVOID
Roll-on epoxy "kits" from the hardware store. They're not designed for the abuse a garage floor takes — hot tires lift them within a year. Also avoid quotes that don't specify diamond grinding (they're acid etching, which gives a much weaker bond) and quotes that skip the polyaspartic topcoat (regular epoxy yellows in UV).
