DRAG TO COMPARE

Mission, Kelowna · 1,850 sq ft · 4 days
THE CHALLENGE
A new-build Mission home with in-floor radiant heat under the entire main floor. The client wanted real wood — but solid hardwood is incompatible with radiant heat.
THE SOLUTION
Engineered oak, glued down with a heat-conductive adhesive. We followed the manufacturer's heat curve protocol over 7 days to acclimate the floor before installation, then ramped the heat back up gradually after final lay. Custom staircase nosing milled to match.
MATERIALS & SPEC
- Mirage Lock 5" engineered white oak
- Mapei Ultrabond ECO 980 adhesive
- Custom-milled stair nosing
- Heat-curve protocol acclimation
THE RESULT
Floor performed perfectly through the first heating season. Zero gaps, zero cupping. Homeowner referred two neighbours.
